Sweet Swiss Serenity

It has stopped snowing and with the promise of a beautiful day tomorrow we’re taking on the mountain!!  It’s been more than 25 years so we’re beginning with a lesson at 8.30am at the top of the mountain.  When asked for preferences for a ski instructor, Bruce said ‘English speaking’ and I said ‘a sense of humour’!  We hope we make it down in one piece and with our senses of humour still intact!!

The boys went back to school yesterday and Brian has been kindly acting as our tour guide around the nearby towns in this spectacular country.  We went through Saas (Lisa, Oli would have loved that one) and then onto Landquart and Bad Ragaz, a really pretty little town with a great tavern run by a very friendly Italian. We also went for a walk by the snow & ice covered river and got bombed from the snow falling from the trees.

The talk around the village is that they last saw this amount of snow in 1968.
