We were very lucky with our accommodation tonight… Warsborough House – a very large, very old (300 year old) private home that Elizabeth, our charming hostess, has been running as a guest house with four very spacious guest rooms for 11 years. She was a very welcoming, helpful person and we wish her all the very best for the next stage of her life in London. She also happens to live around the corner from one of Richard Branson homes.
Oxford – a city of learning and tradition; grand old, ivy-clad buildings; an excited buzz in the air as gowned & capped graduates made their way to their colleges for ceremonies; meticulous, centuries-old gardens showing-off their perfect spring blooms.
Due to the many graduations scheduled for the day, we were unable to visit any of the colleges, but we were able to walk through part of the gardens of Christ Church College (which houses the dining hall of Harry Potter movies).
(Saturday 10 May)
I love how lush and green it is! Looks just beautiful around the old buildings!
