‘The Lilac Door’ is a gorgeous B&B in Dulwich, London. Jane, our hostess, is a treasure – she is so full of energy, enthusiasm, humour, good travel tips and a sense of fun. We are being thoroughly spoilt with delicious breakfasts and outstanding hospitality. The building is a 100 year old Edwardian building that oozes charm and character.
I know… it’s tough, but really, someone’s got to do it!
Naturally, we were telling Jane a few of Matty’s stories, including that he had to go and buy a new shirt because he hadn’t done the washing and had run out of clean clothes! Believe it or not, this lovely woman said ‘God bless him, tell him to bring his washing over to me and I’ll do a load for him!’
Sounds absolutely lovely! Feels very English to have a choice of jams on the table! What a charming bandb!
