First impressions of Athens:
Mad taxi drivers (I guess they’re everywhere, but try 130kph in an 80kph zone weaving in and out of heavy traffic!); white buildings sprawled as far as the eye can see; marble; dogs; stray kittens; motorbikes; happy outgoing Greeks; cigarettes; ancient history in architecture at every turn; luke-warm coffee (I’ve been warned to get used to this!!); slighly worn or well-loved feel about the city!!
