The architecture, the history, the thermal springs, the Romans, the lane-ways, the cobbles, the relaxed pace, the bath stone, the cafes, the shopping, the Abbey, the buskers, the cream teas, the weir, the Pulteney bridge, the parklands.
This is Bath and she is a beauty.
We felt privileged to get to know this gracious old lady and her history a tiny little bit better while enjoying a 2.5 hr organised walking tour and endless exploring on our own. Just a few more days would have been perfect to immerse ourselves fully in the charm and elegance of this stunning city.
Just dropping by to wish you guys both happy birthdays. Hope you spent them somewhere memorable.
By the way: we demand more updates!
Thanks Ben! xx Dad spent his birthday in London with Matt and myself and I spent mine in a Scottish castle, then with Nessie and then on a lovely drive through the highlands and lowlands of Scotland with 16 friends – just the usual!! Sorry for the delay in posts… stay tuned, more coming.
Hi Mary and Bruce, loving the blog. Where are your recent updates? You have disappeared for a week!!!!!!
Mary, I am contacting a publisher on your behalf. You can make a LOT of money travelling the world and writing about your travels.
I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
Haha Jagoda, you crack me up! We’ve been a little pre-occupied – sorry – I promise to get back on track 🙂
As for the idea of travelling and writing – that would just be the most boring job, don’t you think? But then again, if you could swing it, I’d give it a go – just because you went to the trouble… Take care xx
Happy Birthday Mary. Have a wonderful day today (tomorrow your time) thinking of you!
Aw Lovely! So glad you enjoyed your time in bath!
Dear Mary, I’ve so enjoyed reading your blog, reminiscing the wonderful times spent there. Wish you a great day for your birthday and safe journeys ahead. x Maria
